Lorton

Lorton, located in south-eastern Fairfax County, extends south from Fort Belvoir following the Potomac River and includes the Mason Neck area, so named for one of Virginia's founding fathers George Mason.  George Mason's historic home Gunston Hall is located here.  Lorton's is bordered at the south by the Prince William County line. From the banks of the Potomac River and Belmont Bay, Lorton extends west to Springfield, I95 and the Fairfax County Parkway.
